Discover the latest bug in EA Sports FC 25 that lets players bypass the 10-yard set piece distance rule. Learn how this glitch works and why it's disrupting gameplay!
In EA Sports FC 25, a wild bug has been found that is wreaking havoc on the field. This issue allows players to sneak past the distance rule during set pieces and get up close to block shots, but it’s obviously not how the game is meant to be played!
Here’s everything you need to know about this cheeky bug (but maybe don’t try it in PvP).
What’s the Deal with Set Piece Distance?
In real soccer, there's a rule that players need to stay 10 yards (9.15m) away from the ball when a set piece—like a corner kick, free kick, or penalty—is being taken. EA Sports FC 25 enforces this with an invisible barrier that stops players from getting too close.
But... there's a glitch in the system.
How Does the Glitch Work?
If you’re curious (for educational purposes, of course), here’s how this bug works:
- Run Towards the Set Piece Taker: First, sprint toward the opponent about to take the kick.
- Press R1 (RB on Xbox): Right before hitting the invisible barrier, press the R1 button (or RB if you’re on Xbox).
- Bypass the Barrier: Voilà! You’re now past the barrier and can get right up in your opponent’s face. Get close enough, and you can block their shot entirely.
- But here’s a tip: You need to press the button before you cross the barrier. Timing is everything!
A Few Things to Keep in Mind...
Before you go all-out on your next match, there are a couple of caveats:
- Limited Direction: Once you trigger the glitch, you can’t change your player’s direction, so make sure you’re aimed directly at your opponent before charging in.
- Works for Goal Kicks Too: Yep, you can even use this on goal kicks to create an offensive advantage. Talk about bending the rules!
Don't Be That Player!
While this bug might seem like a fun way to mess with the game, it’s definitely not fair play, especially in competitive modes like Ultimate Team. It's also a bug that the developers will likely fix soon, so don’t count on this trick lasting too long!
For now, consider sticking to fair tactics, and leave the glitches to the patch notes.
