Learn how to top up Valorant VP without buying a full pack. From using Microsoft Rewards to submitting Valorant-inspired artwork, discover unique ways to earn extra points and complete your premium skin collection.
While it’s not possible to grab full-blown premium skins entirely for free, Riot Games has a neat trick up its sleeve if you find yourself just a little VP short of the item you want. Here’s the lowdown on how to get those extra points without buying a full VP pack.
Microsoft Reward Points
- You can redeem Microsoft Rewards points for Valorant gift cards by earning those points through activities such as simply doing this:
- Search the web with Bing on your web and mobile app
- Click and open every tab in the "Earn" section of the Microsoft Rewards page and keep a streak going for extra points.
- You can then use the points in the Redeem section of the Microsoft Rewards page where you will find the League of Legends gift card, which works for Valorant as well.
- After confirming your purchase, your points will be deducted, and you’ll receive the gift card via email, ready to use in-game for skins and other items.
Valorant Artwork Submission
Step 1: Hit Up Riot Support
If you’re short by a small amount of VP—usually up to 50 points—you can reach out to Riot Support. Politely ask if they can top off your VP for you. It’s important to note: this isn’t a free VP handout. Riot’s only likely to say yes if you genuinely need it to make that purchase.
Step 2: Make Some Valorant Artwork
If Riot says yes, they’ll ask for a little creative effort. You’ll need to submit an original piece of artwork inspired by Valorant’s universe. It doesn’t need to be museum-worthy, just a fun and sincere attempt that showcases your enthusiasm for the game.
Step 3: Wait for Approval
Once your masterpiece is submitted, Riot will decide if it’s “worthy” of those VP. If it passes the test, they’ll credit the extra VP to your account, usually within a few days.

Why This Is Cool (and Kinda Unique)
Riot’s done this for years in League of Legends, and it’s fun to see it in Valorant too. It’s a creative way to get those last few points without letting a small VP shortage hold you back.
One Important Note: This Is a One-Time Deal
This option is typically limited to one use per account, so only try this if you genuinely need the extra VP. Riot’s likely to be stricter with Valorant, so make it count.
