- Keep an eye out for the guards patrolling the Gulag after you spawn there to take note of their orange jumpsuits. Grab one of the rocks that are lying around, hurl it at a guard to knock them out, and then kill them. (WARNING: The jailer can easily kill the player character with a few hits.)
- Some claim that if one guard is taken out, a key might also be. The Toronto Ultra asserts that it may take up to three dead guards before a key is discovered.
- All users inside the Gulag will be set free simultaneously whenever a key does fall to the ground.
