Lotus map is very much inspired from ‘Indiana Jones’, says art lead Brian Yam. The map features “traditional Indian stepwells, rock-cut architecture and Dravidian style structures”. There are destructible walls and rotating doors in Valorant’s new map.

Lotus is the ninth map added to Riot Games’ multiplayer shooter since the game’s launch back in 2020. Not only is Lotus situated in India but also does its part to introduce Indian aesthetics to it. This new map comes after the recent release of Valorant’s latest agent Harbor who hails from Mumbai, India.

Harbor and Lotus are Riot Games' push to promote and grow its already large following in the country. It’s a good sign for the gaming audience in India to receive some much needed attention from one of the biggest esports title in the world.

Valorant Episode 6 Act 1 battle pass

The latest battle pass costs 1,000 VP and allows players to earn 9 Lives Classic Gun Skin, PlayZilla Dan Card, Big Announcement Gun Buddy, and the Shock Heart Spray for free. If you’re willing to buy the battle pass, you can earn the Venturi Vandal, Venturi Knife, Perfectly Roasted Spray, Folded Wish Gun Buddy, and Rift Rider Card.

Valorant 6.00 patch

The Valorant 6.00 patch also brings back Split to the map pool. Lotus and Split will be replacing Bind and Breeze in competitive and unrated matches. This new update, as is part and parcel of patches, fix a variety of bugs encountered by players in Valorant.

Interestingly, 10 of these fixes deal with the game’s Agents for balance changes and glitches. For starters, Killjoy’s Lockdown ability will now receive damage from all the other abilities. Sova’s Hunter’s Fury will no longer deal damage to a teammate Fade’s Haunt. Head to the following link to read the official Valorant 6.00 patch notes.
