SteelSeries launches Aerox 5 and Aerox 9 mouse; specs, price and details here
SteelSeries claims they are the lightest mouse on the market in their category. Check out the details for both Aerox 5 and 9 below.
SteelSeries has introduced two new variants to the Aerox Wireless series mouse. The new Aerox 5 Wireless and the Aerox 9 Wireless are tailor-made for MMO and MOBA games or any game that requires the use of several buttons in quick succession.
SteelSeries Aerox 9 Wireless
The Aerox 9 Wireless mouse has 12 buttons on its left side and a total of 18 buttons. SteelSeries has claimed that Aerox 5 and 9 Wireless is the lightest mouse on the market of this type. Aerox 9 mouse weighs about 89g. The mouse has a TrueMove Air sensor which comes with tilt tracking to eliminate tracking errors. Aerox 9 would provide 18,000 CPI, 400 IPS, and 40G acceleration.
Aerox 9 Wireless was designed to compete against Razer’s Naga Pro mouse. The Naga Pro also has multiple buttons and is also a wireless mouse. The Aerox 9 comes with IP54 waterproofing and a battery claim of up to 180 hours of game time. However, Naga Pro comes with two extra buttons on the mouse but most importantly its modular side plates make it a better choice for some gamers. The Naga Pro also has the same price as Aerox 9. The price for both mice is $159.99.
SteelSeries Aerox 5 Wireless
The Aerox 5 Wireless has 9 buttons and has been recommended by SteelSeries for “Battle Royale, FPS, MOBA, and other fast-paced games.” The left side of the mouse has 5 buttons including an up/down flick switch as well. Apart from the number of buttons, the Aerox 5 and 9 have the same features like battery life, USB-C charging, and Quantum 2.0 Wireless which will allow 2.4GHz and Bluetooth 5.0 transmissions. Aerox 5 also comes with TrueMove Air and is lighter than Aerox 9 as it weighs 74g. The product page of the mouse recommends how to program each button on the mouse based on games like Call of Duty, Fortnite, World of Warcraft, CS: GO, and League of Legends. The mouse is currently available for a price of $149.99.
Aerox 5 also has a wired version that is cheaper but has similar features. It’s lighter than the wireless version, comes with IP54 protection, and has a custom TrueMove Air precision optical sensor. It is available for purchase at a price of $89.99. Unfortunately, none of the newly released SteelSeries Aerox series mice is available in India.
