Following the botched launch of Blizzard’s Overwatch 2, there’s a new set of disappointments that the game’s now dealing with. It’s been three days since the Halloween update launched on October 25th- Junkenstein’s Revenge: The Wrath of the Bride. Players are already vocal about their qualms, and quite a few of them, including the same old server errors. While we’ll get into the good and bad side of Overwatch 2 ringing in Halloween, let’s also look at what’s new that it brings.
Overwatch 2 Halloween Update
Junkenstein’s Revenge: The Wrath of the Bride Details
Junkeinstein is back to haunt you in the spirit of a typical Overwatch Halloween, only this time, it’s his wife who’s here to spook you. A sequel to the Revenge Mode from Overwatch 1, the limited-time co-op mode is back this year as a part of Halloween Terror. It will also include the iconic PvE brawl featuring Dr. Junkenstein himself.
As always, there’s a new list of heroes to play as, and skins to don. As for the good part of it, Blizzard is introducing Twitch drops, like a Werewolf Winston Spray and Skin. However, moving on, the Twitch drops are not available in India. Regardless, Halloween Terror is currently on on Overwatch 2, with Junkenstein’s Revenge: The Wrath of the Bride. The event ends on November 6, 11:30 PM IST.
What players are complaining about in Overwatch 2: Halloween Update 2022
Players don’t seem to be very happy about the first Halloween Terror from Overwatch 2. Indeed, Blizzard has finally removed loot boxes from its game, but its latest arrangement has ended up with players wanting them back. That’s because, with skins priced at $20, players aren’t considering it a good value for money. Turns out, their returns would turn out to be much better during the loot-box era of Overwatch. Many have petitioned Blizzard across social media, through Twitter and Reddit channels, to reduce the price.
Might as well bring back loot boxes. As if im gonna pay for all the stuff that was once for free. I have 50% of all the stuff in total but I won’t pay a single cent for stuff that used to be for free

As for the woes of the players, the overpriced Halloween ‘rewards’ aren’t the only problem. Server errors continue to wreak havoc, especially the infamous “LC-208”. Server Errors have been plaguing Overwatch 2 and ruining player experience since its launch earlier this month. Blizzard continues to work on a fix for the errors that have flared up after the Halloween update. At the same time, skins are also due for players to claim as compensation for the glitchy launch through the first week.
Despite everything, both Blizzard and Overwatch 2 have their own set of dedicated fans. They continue to be invested in the game, regardless of everything that has gone down till now. On that note, Blizzard ceremoniously announced earlier this month that the game has had 25 million players active, recorded within the first 10 days only. That in itself, speaks of the fan following of Overwatch 2.
Overwatch is currently free-to-play on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Series consoles, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
