Netflix Tudum brings new updates on The Witcher: Blood Origin, The Witcher Season 3, Onimusha and more
Netflix's latest event called Tudum, brought new announcements for gamers on upcoming shows like The Witcher prequel, and Season 3; game series Onimusha will also be receiving an anime adaptation. Here's all the details you need.
Netflix’s latest TUDUM event, had some new reveals on the platform’s gaming push. We are talking about new trailers of its upcoming shows on The Witcher franchise, and a brand new adaptation of video game series Onimusha. There’s news on Oxenfree 2 as well, coming soon to Netflix Games- the platform’s latest section dedicated solely to playing games. While gamers may be waiting for the new Witcher Saga to unveil further from CD Projekt Red, the big screen’s here to keep us on our toes till then. We already know of Blood Origin, the prequel to The Witcher series in development. And then there’s Season 3 also coming up. The Witcher: Blood Origin
While TUDUM did not reveal any new trailers, it was announced that Blood Origin’s headed our way on December 25. The show which will premiere this Christmas Day, will be taking us back to more than a thousand years before the adventures of Geralt, to the story of the first Witcher. The Witcher: Season 3
The Witcher stars Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra and Freya Allen showed up to share that Season 3 will premiere in 2023 Summer. They also shared a new artwork on the show, which shows the broken medallion of Geralt of Rivia. While that doesn’t reveal much, the plot summary was revealed by Netflix sometime back in April. We also know that the Witcher 3 wrapped filming a few weeks ago as was shared in a message by lead star Henry Cavill.

Oxenfree
Netflix Games will soon have Oxenfree as a playable game. Oxenfree is a critically acclaimed game from Night School Studio, which released back in 2016. The latest news of the game coming to Netflix Games, comes a year after that of Night School Studio’s acquisition by Netflix.
A sequel called Lost Signals is also in the making, and it’s now been delayed to 2023.
Onimusha
Netflix has also revealed a new anime based on the hack n’ slash series from Capcom. Netflix has shared some stills from the anime and its first looks. Takashi Miike and Shinya Sugai of Dragon’s Dogma fame will be creating the show. The late Toshira Mifune, who was known for his portrayal of the Samurai warrior, will be acting as the model of Musahi Miyamoto.
