Krafton posts multiple job openings specifically for BGMI

Amid BGMI's unban rumors, Krafton has come up with multiple job openings on its official website and LinkedIn.

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) was banned in July 2022 under section 69A of the IT Act. The game was removed from Indian Play Stores and App Stores following the directives of the Indian government. However, the hype of the game's return has slowly started to pick up the pace again in the country. The South Korean gaming giant Krafton has posted multiple job openings on its official website and Linkedi\In. The job openings are specifically related to BGMI and PUBG Mobile.

Krafton has posted various job openings on its LinkedIn, the job openings include various titles like Junior Associate, Corporate Development Department - Senior Associate, CSR Manager, and Senior Product Manager.

Apart from LinkedIn, Krafton also posted a few openings on its official website. After converting the Korean text to English, the result we got is -

Let me introduce my mission to be with our team.

  • BGMI LQA and Event/Monetization Tests
  • Functional testing across projects published by publishing groups
  • Platform Interlock Test and UI/UX Usability Test
  • Check for policy violations and respond to issues

The job openings by Krafton indicate that the company is actively working in the background to bring back BGMI in the country. This in particular can be perceived as a positive hint of the game's return.

Apart from the job openings, a media report revealed that the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) might soon issue an order to unban BGMI in the country. The report mentioned that the game will arrive with few changes but for a period of 90 days. During this period, the Indian authorities will keep a close eye on the game to ensure that it is following the rule of the land.

BGMI played a massive role in the growth of esports in the country. Since the title got banned in India, the Indian gaming community started to look for more options in the form of New State Mobile. However, Krafton's New State failed to match the popularity of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). Since the dying hype of BGMI has started to pick up the fire, it would be interesting to see when will Krafton officially announce the game's comeback.
