A brief backstory of Indus to get you intrigued
What is Indus about?
In an exclusive interview, CEO of SuperGaming Roby John said that “the entire premise of Indus is based on the singular question: What if the Indus Valley Civilisation never went extinct and what if it just moved to another galaxy altogether”.
In Indus, you get to play as a ‘Mythwalker’, who is a ‘hired gun’ working for a syndicate called Coven. Coven is on the lookout for an energy source called Cosmium, which once powered a very advanced civilization on Indus. SuperGaming has introduced a number of features that we’ll get to experience in the game. This includes the map Virlok, a once-upon-a-time hotspot for Cosmium at Indus, that you’ll get to explore as Mythwalkers. We’ve also been introduced to some of the customizable skins and weapons that we’ll find in the game.
Platforms and Availability
Indus is not only being developed for Android and iOS platforms, but for PC and consoles as well. It is going to be free-to-play, but may however include some in-app purchases. Additionally, the developers have also mentioned that though it is launching as an FPP shooter, it will soon incorporate third-person perspectives as well.
As for the availability of the game, during the unveiling of the game, SuperGaming informed that we can expect the launch by the end of 2022 itself. And this brings us to the latest update- SuperGaming is conducting its second community playtest for the game this week. This also points toward the fact that the game is nearing the end of its development and may soon be up for launch. Regardless, you can be a part of the playtest as well. Find out more details below.
