Square Enix is gearing up for the launch of Luminous Productions’ debut title Forspoken right now. The game is set to launch for PlayStation 5 and PC on January 24, which means less than a week more to go. At this juncture, a little more than the game’s first one hour has leaked online. Read on for more details on these developments.
Forspoken to launch this January
Just as Square Enix revealed the recommended specifications to play Forspoken, the first one hour of the game leaked online. Here’s one game that has been making the news for not all wrong, but strange reasons since last year. The game has been promoted as a technological marvel for PlayStation 5, but the specs recommended by the creators are making us raise questions on the game’s accessibility. And let’s not forget how a Forspoken trailer became a viral meme last year.
Regardless, the game continues to be anticipated in the gaming community, which now leads us to this leak. Forspoken has now added its name to the list of games that were notoriously leaked online days ahead of their launch, the most recent of them being God of War: Ragnarok.
75 minutes of Forspoken leaks online- Details
The leak emerged from “Resetera forums” and is a recording of the first 75 minutes of the game. Though the video has now been taken down, a lot of us already got a look at the game’s combat system, in-game items mechanics, and more. The story has also become more apparent because of the 75 minutes leaked video.
As from what we’ve officially received from Forspoken’s developers, the game follows the story of Frey Holland, who magically teleports to the world of Athia. There, aided by a magical bracelet, and its powers, she has to battle the evil forces of Athia and find her way back to her home in New York. You can check out the latest cinematic trailer launched earlier this month right here.
