Dead Island 2 release date shifts again, releasing one week earlier now
After several delays, Dead Island is finally releasing one week earlier than its previous release date now.
The release date for Dead Island 2 has undergone numerous changes, but Dambster Studios has now set the final date. This time, in contrast to previous release date modifications, the game has been moved forward by one week. The new release date for Dead Island is April 21, 2023. The game's previous release date was set for April 28, 2023.
Dead Island 2 is releasing a week earlier
The release date for Dead Island 2, the horror fighting game has been changed once again. Fortunately, this time there isn't a delay. Instead, the game will now release one week earlier than scheduled, on April 21.
Dead Island wrote in a tweet, “You asked for it, you got it. Dead Island 2 went gold and it’s coming out a week early.” Further, they wrote, “See you in HELL-A on April 21, 2023”.
The tweet explains that the developer and publisher, Deep Silver are pretty much satisfied with the development of the game.

The term "going gold" is used by the developers to refer to both the game's completion and its readiness for copy and sale. Further, it also explains that the game will probably not have any other delayed release dates now.
Dead Island 2 was first announced in 2014, and in 2019, Dabster Studios took over the game's development. The current form of came was shown at Gamescom in 2022 along with the announcement of its initial release date, which was February 2023.
Previously, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was also delayed, moving the release date to April 28, 2023; which is the same as the previous release date of Dead Island 2. Dead Island 2 will now be released before Star Wars Jedi: Survivor as a result of the release date being pushed forward by one week.
Dead Island 2 will be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC. The game is available for pre-order at the game’s official website. Players who pre-order will also get some in-game rewards when the game releases.
