Apparently, it was just an issue and nothing consequential.

Naturally, the official account also informed fans when Call of Duty Mobile was back on the Apple App Store.

When the news broke out that Call of Duty Mobile got removed from App Store, gamers in India pondered if the battle royale suffered a fate similar to that of BGMI. India's most popular battle royale game was banned in the country due to national security concerns under Section 69A of the IT Act, 2000. However, it was quickly understood that Call of Duty Mobile was not banned in India. Activision's mobile game had disappeared from the App Store globally.

Another section of fans believed that the game might have been removed by Apple due to its stringent guidelines for in-app purchases. Epic Games' Fortnite was in a long (and lost) battle with Apple over several issues including in-app purchase gateway. Since then, Fortnite is not on Apple's App Store and is also absent from Google's Play Store.
