Warzone Mobile is Officially a Revenue Flop; Here’s Why It’s Struggling Against COD Mobile

Over its first six months, Warzone Mobile only pulled in around $13 million which falls way behind when compared to CODM's revenue at the same timeframe.

Warzone Mobile, the mobile version of the popular battle royale game, has been facing significant challenges since its launch earlier this year. Despite being backed by the powerhouse Activision, the game has failed to meet revenue expectations, generating only $13 million in its first six months. This is a stark contrast to the success of Call of Duty: Mobile, which made a staggering $144 million in the same timeframe.

What’s Holding Warzone Mobile Back?

The biggest problem of Warzone Mobile is its poor optimization. Several players, especially on Android devices, have claimed a lower FPS performance along with overheating issues. A few mid-range phones were running the game more fluently than flagship devices, which is quite unusual. Also, the servers were also problematic because many players in some regions were experiencing higher ping and laggy gameplay due to unavalibility of servers close to their location.
