Rainbow Six Siege Embraces Full Crossplay With Operation Collision Point

Rainbow Six Siege is levelling up with the launch of Operation Collision Point, the much-anticipated Year 9 Season 4 update dropping on December 3, 2024. Full crossplay between PC and console players. Ranked playlists for console players will now feature a separate PC rank to maintain balanced competition.

These players will be moved to the PC matchmaking pool for 90 days and blocked from matchmaking if crossplay is disabled. In a big win for fairness, matches with detected cheaters will now be cancelled without impacting players’ ranks.
The update also introduces the Career Hub, a one-stop-shop for viewing account stats, reputation, rank, and even match replays. This is part of Ubisoft’s enhanced Reputation Center, which clarifies how actions affect standing and makes penalties transparent.
Operator gameplay gets a boost, too. Fan-favorite Blackbeard now wields an upgraded Adaptable Shield gadget, while Ying and Sens receive updates to encourage more precise and creative strategies. Suppressive fire mechanics have been fine-tuned to counter Shield Operators more effectively, while melee mechanics are adjusted to enhance shield durability.
