Pavan Kampelli to Represent India in Asian Esports Games eFootball Championship

The Asian Esports Games eFootball Championship 2024 is part of the larger Asian Esports Games held in Bangkok, Thailand from November 25 to November 29, 2024

The WAVES Esports Championship 2025 (WESC25) in eFootball concluded with great competition as more than 450 of India's best players were on display. In this fierce display of talent, Pavan Kampelli, popularly known as "Mr Tomboy," remained undefeated and earned the prestigious honour of representing India at the Asian Esports Games, eFootball segment, in Bangkok on Saturday, November 30.

This has become an achievement moment for Indian esports when, just before leaving for Bangkok, the tournament, Mr Senthil Rajan, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting gave his Team India jersey to Pavan, who globally participates for India.

Popular Games

The tournament is divided into two groups. The best eight players from both groups will enter the finals. Akash, who received the nickname "AKASH_BIT," took the second position from Phase 1. He will then participate in the WESC25 Grand Finale with Pavan, scheduled in February 2024.

The ESFI is the governing body of esports in India. They have conducted events such as the Asian Games 2018, 2022, the Commonwealth Esports Championship 2022, and the BRICS Esports Championship 2024 where India has won a historic silver medal.

The Asian Esports Games eFootball Championship 2024 is part of the larger Asian Esports Games held in Bangkok, Thailand from November 25 to November 29, 2024. This event is organized by the Thailand Esports Federation with support from the Sports Authority of Thailand and the National Sports Development Fund of Thailand.

The championship features eFootball Mobile as one of the main events, with top players from across Asia competing for the title. The event also includes other popular games like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Arena of Valor.
