Gladiators Esports acquires Gods Reign in one of Indian esports’ biggest moves; signs Gujarat Titans Rising champions BGMI Team
The acquisition sees Gladiators Esports players integrating the Gods Reign and its esports team, which will retain the Gods Reign name
In what can be characterised as one of the most important developments in Indian esports, Gladiators Esports has formally announced the acquisition of Bengaluru-based esports organisation Gods Reign, bringing together two of the leading esports franchises in the country.
Under this acquisition, Gladiators Esports will fold in the Gods Reign One Nation franchise, although the esports team will continue to market itself under the Gods Reign brand while all other activities such as content creation and marketing will be operated under Gladiators Esports’ banner. The main aim of this acquisition is to optimise operations through the consolidation of business branches to reduce brand strain while maximising the potential of both organisations.
“Regarding the deal, Gladiators Esports said, “We are pleased to announce that Gods Reign became a member of Gladiators Esports family. Such a decision was made in our strategic efforts towards taking Indian esports further and making it grow. It is evident that the Gods Reign brand along with its roster of players quenches the demand of expansion for us and, at the same time, provides an environment for our talents to grow, from players to content creators. Such encouraging developments signal that a thrilling new era is upon us, and we cannot wait to contribute to the success of Indian Esports,’’ they continued.

In tandem with this transition, as well, Gods Reign has brought on board one of the most decorated BGMI lineups in India with pro players who have played on the big stages and have won several major titles.
"Gladiators Esports taking over Gods Reign is a game-changer not only for Gods Reign but also the Indian esports landscape as a whole. With everything that has happened, with the expertise and experience that we have and the vision we share in growing Indian esports, we will offer unparalleled experiences and accomplishments. Our new BGMI roster brings together experienced and raw talent that speaks to the level of competition that we are ready to bring. Through this restructuring, we want to create more avenues where our sportsmen can thrive, find our audience in the most creative ways, and take Indian esports as we know it to the world," explained Rohit KR, CEO of Gods Reign.
IGL Ammar Khan (Destro) will make this trio complete along with his previous team members Justin Nadar (Justin) and Parth Garg (DeltaPG). They have shown in tournaments last year that this trio is deadly. They won the BGIS 2023 and the recently concluded BGMS 2023 and placed second in the BMPS 2023.
They are also boosting the squad is Shubham Ranjan Sahoo (NinjaJOD), who won the BGIS 2024 championship and finished second at last year’s India-Korea Invitational. Adding to this talented roster will be coach Robin Singh (Robin), a former competitor in BGMI himself who just recently guided Destro, Justin, DeltaPG, and NinjaJOD to triumph in the Titans Rising tournament, which was organised by the Gujarat Titans cricket team.
The newly formed roster that earned them a combined prize pool of about INR 2.5 crores (276,703) in FY23 seeks even higher aspirations, with their impressive past performance looking to build on that success in the next tournaments.
“Having previously played with these talented players and achieved success together, returning to Gods Reign feels like a true homecoming, and it’s an honour to reunite under this banner. This acquisition unites some of India’s top esports talent, all of whom are dedicated to constant improvement and focused on victory. With our combined strengths and support, we hope to set new benchmarks in BGMI and demonstrate our potential on both national and international stages,” commented Ammar Khan, aka Destro, IGL of Gods Reign.
In addition to its esports rosters in Counter-Strike 2, Pokémon UNITE, and BGMI, Gods Reign is also home to some of India's top gaming creators, including Thor Gaming, Harshdeep Singh, Red Parasite, Miss Senorita, AJ Jeffy, and many others.
