She is a girl from Chenyu Vale and is painted to be an expert Rattan Weaver and chooses the mountaintops over village life. Lan Yan has ties to Gaming, which was introduced in Lantern Rite 2024, sparking speculation about her introductory appearance with Lantern Rite 2025.
Abilities and Role
Lan Yan's Elemental Skill produces an Anemo shield, indicating promise as support. However, it is still below what the expectations are now for the Citlali kit, which is rumored to be along the lines of Zhongli and Baizhu as the best of the best in terms of shielding, though perhaps some adjustments will be made through beta testing to boost her further.
