While Epic Games hasn’t officially confirmed the release date, reliable Fortnite leakers suggest that Winterfest 2024 is expected to begin on December 18, 2024. A hotfix in v33.11 is expected to roll out, bringing festive decorations, new items, and quests to the island. 

Exciting Winterfest Leaks: Skins, Cosmetics, and More!

The leaks this year hint at some big names joining Fortnite’s holiday lineup. Legendary rapper Snoop Dogg returns for his third in-game appearance with a brand-new Christmas-themed Snoop on the Stoop skin. Alongside him, NBA icon Shaquille O’Neal will receive a festive outfit to complement his existing Fortnite cosmetics.

The Winterfest Cabin Returns with Free Gifts

After a two-year hiatus, the nostalgic Winterfest Cabin is finally making its return! This cosy in-game hub will once again let players unwrap one gift per day leading up to Christmas. In true holiday fashion, Crackshot will be there to guard the presents beneath the Christmas tree while players explore the festive lobby.

Winterfest Quests and Rewards

For players looking to earn some extra XP and goodies, Winterfest 2024 will introduce themed quests that unlock free rewards. So far, four rewards have been decrypted: the De-Rezz Tally Back Bling, Llama Lightbulb Emoticon, Crashed Chiller Spray, and Choose Naughty Spray. Quests will likely roll out throughout Winterfest, keeping players engaged throughout the event.

Disney’s Cars Collaboration: Lightning McQueen Arrives!

One of the most anticipated parts of Winterfest is Fortnite’s collaboration with Disney’s Cars franchise. According to leaks, Lightning McQueen will race into Fortnite as a drivable vehicle, and fans can expect to see elements of Radiator Springs incorporated into the game. 

New Ice Skates Item: Skate Your Way to Victory

Finally, a brand-new Ice Skates item is set to add fun movement mechanics to Winterfest. This item will let players skate across snowy terrain and frozen lakes, introducing a unique way to traverse the island. Although details are still scarce, teasers in Chapter 6’s Season 1 key art confirm the Ice Skates’ inclusion.
