This came after Billy Markus, the co-creator of Dogecoin, criticized how modern games and gaming news seem influenced by politics and corporate interests. Musk agreed, saying gamers deserve better.
Recently, he criticized Microsoft’s Xbox team for focusing too much on diversity programs, saying, “Can they just make good games and skip the woke lecture??”
He also spoke out against a feature in an upcoming Xbox game, Avowed, that lets players choose their character’s pronouns. Musk called it “utterly unacceptable.” His studio will likely focus on keeping games simple and fun, avoiding what he sees as unnecessary political messaging.
