Dr Disrespect Joins Rumble: New Chapter for the Controversial Streamer

Dr Disrespect leaves Twitch for Rumble. His first stream is set for December 2, and he’s already gathered over 16,000 followers on the platform.

Herschel "Guy" Beahm IV aka Dr Disrespect, has officially joined Rumble, a video streaming platform. This marks a big change in his career after losing the ability to make money on YouTube and being banned from Twitch. Along with streaming on Rumble, he will also help develop the platform’s gaming community and hold a stake in the company as part of an equity deal.

What’s Happening?

Dr Disrespect’s move to Rumble was announced on November 25, 2024. His first stream is set for December 2, and he’s already gathered over 16,000 followers on the platform. The deal includes creating exclusive content for Rumble Premium’s “Champions Club” and helping the platform grow its gaming section. Most of his pay will depend on hitting certain goals.

In a message to his fans, Dr Disrespect shared his excitement, saying: "Grateful for the chance to grow a platform with values I believe in. No more cancel culture, no more suppression. Let’s get back to having fun!"

Why Did Dr Disrespect Join Rumble

He had a tough couple of years. In 2020, he was banned from Twitch after being accused of sending inappropriate messages to a minor; Beahm began streaming on YouTube. In June 2024 YouTube also prevented him from making money from the channel, with the same allegations. Dr Disrespect has denied any wrongdoing.

He tried to find a new streaming home, including talks with Kick, another streaming platform. But when Kick decided not to sign him, Rumble became one of his few options.

Rumble’s Big Gamble

Rumble, known for hosting politically conservative creators, sees Dr Disrespect as a chance to expand into gaming. Their CEO, Chris Pavlovski, called his signing "Step 1" in growing the platform’s gaming audience. The move has already paid off—Rumble’s stock price jumped 17% after the announcement.

Rumble is also offering a discount for new subscribers to Dr Disrespect’s “Champions Club,” hoping to attract more of his fans.

What’s Next for the Doc?

While this partnership gives Dr Disrespect a fresh start, his career has taken some hits. In addition to losing Twitch and YouTube, he’s also lost sponsors like Turtle Beach and was dropped by his game studio, Midnight Society.

Even with all these controversies, Dr Disrespect still is one of the biggest names in gaming. Fans are looking forward to seeing him back on the stream on 2nd December and this new deal presents him with a chance to construct his career on a platform where he can also help it to form its future.
