THE NEW WARZONE 2.0 MAP MAY BE AVAILABLE ON JUNE 14TH

Vondel is a medium-sized map, expected to cater to DMZ and Resurgence game types, and is expected to address Warzone's declining player counts, cheater issues, and performance concerns.

There has been a lot of buzz about an impending Warzone 2.0 map called 'Vondel,' which is located in Amsterdam. In early May 2023, leaked photos of this map surfaced, causing Activision to issue DMCA strikes in response. According to recent rumors, this urban-focused map will either be launched or at least presented during Season 04, which begins on June 14th.

Vondel is defined as a medium-sized map that falls somewhere between the scales of Al Mazrah and Ashika Island. It may not initially function as a battle royale map but rather will cater to the DMZ and Resurgence game types. However, it is planned to include it in standard battle royale playlists in the future. If this happens, it will be the first time in Warzone history that two battle royale maps are live at the same time.

Vondel is planned to give a more densely populated metropolitan experience than Al Mazrah and the original Verdansk map, both of which were launched in March 2020. It will have tiny streets with canals, densely crowded structures, and limited sight lines.
Currently, only a limited amount of information regarding Vondel is known, mostly through Twitter discussions by sources such as CharlieIntel. This new map is thought to have been created by Beenox, the developer behind the popular Rebirth Island map.

Anticipation for the upcoming Warzone 2.0 map is high, especially after the positive response to the previous map, Ashika Island, which succeeded in drawing players back to the game. Conversely, Al Mazrah did not have the same revitalizing impact. Presently, Warzone is grappling with dwindling player counts, cheaters, and performance issues. The release of Vondel could mark the initiation of efforts to address these concerns.
More details are likely to emerge when Season 04 is released on June 14th, including the anticipated launch of the new Warzone 2.0 map.
