PUBG Corp, the company behind the popular Battle Royale PUBG Mobile has just teased a new update. As part of the teaser, the company revealed some information about Payload 2.0, the next version of the payload mode. According to the information available online, the company initially teased this update in the patch notes of the 1.0 update. For some context, the company released the PUBG Mobile 1.0 update a couple of weeks back. This update came just days after the Government of India banned the game in the market. Let’s check out the details around Payload 2.0 update here.
PUBG Mobile update: Why should it even matter?
Given that the game has been banned in the Indian market; it is natural to ask why one should care. Well, it is worth noting that the game still works regardless of the ban. In fact, the app redirects users to a website to download the latest updates considering the absence on the Play Store. The only thing that one can’t do is download and install the game from the Play Store and App Store. Play Store users can still side-load the app after the download. However, Apple App Store users can’t do anything if they have removed the game. We advise users not to download or play the game because these activities are illegal after the ban.
Payload 2.0 details
Inspecting the latest teaser and latest information; the Payload 2.0 update is likely to land on October 10, 2020. PUBG Corp is yet to announce the official date for the launch of the update. The new teaser outlines multiple armoured cars, helicopters, and explosions. This upgrade is likely an effort to revamp the aging elements of the game.
