Hogwarts Legacy: Sorting Hat Ceremony; How to choose your own house and more
The Sorting Hat in Hogwarts Legacy takes your choice into account. Here's where you can find out how you can choose your own house in the game.
One of the most appreciated features of Hogwarts Legacy has been the fact that you can choose your house. Now this naturally comes from all the die-hard fans of the Harry Potter franchise, who have stood by it through thick and thin. As fans have lived and seen themselves through the eyes of the characters of the Harry Potter, they’ve also wondered which House they belong to. While Wizarding World has extensively explored this in the past, initially through the elaborate quiz on Pottermore, people have often expressed disappointed about their allotted house. And then there are the nuances of the unnecessary glorification of certain houses that fans often indulge in.
Doing away with all of this, Hogwarts Legacy has accommodated the provision of being able to choose your own house. While there’s also a mini-quiz that helps the Sorting Hat allot you your house, in case you aren’t satisfied, you can actively choose one for yourself. Here’s how it goes.
Hogwarts Legacy- How to choose your own house
The Sorting Hat ceremony commences within the first 40 minutes of you playing Hogwarts Legacy. It is the first major event that happens as soon as you enter Hogwarts. As a result of your late arrival to the ceremony, you are the last student to get sorted. First off, you are presented two options about your “preconceptions” and “expectations”. You have to choose between- “I can’t wait to start classes” and “I can’t wait to explore”. Next off, you have four options to best describe yourself- daring, curiosity, loyalty and ambition.
After this you are presented your house, along with the options of accepting your house, and choosing a different house. The Sorting Hat, as was established in the canon, takes your choice into account, and therefore gives you the liberty to choose a different house. In case you select the latter, you are immediately presented the four house logos to select from. These include Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. All you need to do, is select the house of your choice and then “Accept House” to sort yourself.
Additionally, if you would like to continue with the house and profile from your Pottermore and Wizarding World days, Hogwarts Legacy also allows you to link your account to the game. To find out how to do it, check out this detailed guide of ours on the same.
