In the last edition of FIFA 23, the game launches with a bang- announces EA after a few leaks and market crashes. Here's more on latest from FIFA 23,

FIFA 23, the latest from Electronic Arts, has reportedly had a successful launch. In the very first week since its release on 27th September, the game has reportedly brought in record-breaking numbers. That’s quite the ode to the legacy of FIFA games from Electronic Arts, given that it’s the last year for FIFA and EA collab. Here’s more of the latest news on FIFA.

FIFA 23's Record-Breaking Numbers- Details

Electronic Arts has announced that FIFA 23, had a “record-breaking launch” with over 10.3 million players in the first week. In the press release from October 12, they announced that it was the “biggest launch period in EA Sports FIFA franchise history”. That’s despite a number of pitfalls leading up to the launch, including the game’s leak on Xbox.

Nick Wlodyka, from EA SPORTS FC expressed, “The response from our fans has been nothing short of incredible, and we’re thrilled that our community is playing with their favorite players and teams across FIFA 23 in record numbers.”

On another occasion, the FUT Heroes Pack, was accidentally made available at a sale price of a mere 25,000 coins in the last weekend. The pack that’s originally worth millions of game coins being so readily available, caused the FUT market itself to crash. More recently, yesterday itself, the World Cup mode went live on PlayStation 5 a month earlier. It’s hard to say if numbers will continue to grow for FIFA 23 at the pace that they did during the first week, even after these massive blunders from EA.

Regardless, this edition continues to be special for EA Sports FIFA, given that it’s the last year for the FIFA-EA collab. LaLiga is taking over from the next season, starting in 2023, in a deal that was announced earlier this August. EA on the other hand has been attempting to send FIFA off on a good note. They’ve brought in multiple new features and improvements, including the first women’s club football content.
