Electronic Arts also said that FIFA 23 “delivered record engagement in Q3”. That’s the three-month period which ended on December 31, 2022.
FIFA 23 was released in September 2022 and had over 10.3 million players in its first seven days. FIFA 22 managed to bring 9.1 million players to the game in the first 10 days from its release.

It was in May 2022 when EA announced that “a new era in July 2023” would start with EA Sports FC series, which will be the name of their future football games.
EA and FIFA are no longer in a partnership after the licensing deal expired between the two parties.
While EA announced the title of their new series, FIFA president Gianni Infantino released a new statement on the same day. He said that FIFA would also be launching a game to rival EA’s game.
