It looks like CD Projekt Red has teamed up with smartphone maker OnePlus to craft a limited-edition smartphone. Inspecting the teaser, we get the first glimpse of the Cyberpunk 2077-branded OnePlus 8T smartphone. It is worth noting that this is not the first teaser that OnePlus has shared regarding the limited-edition device. Looking back, the company initially started teasing the limited-edition device about two weeks back on its Weibo channel. In the following days, the company teased bits and pieces of the hardware in teasers. The latest teaser provides an ever so slightly ‘better’ look at the device. OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 edition coming soon
As per the latest teaser, the company will unveil the Cyberpunk 2077 edition of the OnePlus 8T on November 2. The company will showcase the design of the device along with pricing and likely specifications. Inspecting its past lineup, this could be its custom-edition of its flagship smartphone. The company has launched similarly limited-edition smartphones in the past after teaming up with the likes of McLaren, Star Wars, and Disney. The last special edition device to make it to the market was the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren edition. Given that the partnership between OnePlus and McLaren is up; it is better to look forward. So, this year, the company is all set to launch Cyberpunk 2077 edition instead of McLaren like the last two years.
OnePlus shared a new poster of the upcoming device confirming several things. First up, the device will come with Yellow accents on the edges of the rear panel with a gray finish. Beyond this, we may also get a redesigned camera bump with a dedicated system theme. This camera bump will likely feature the Cyberpunk 2077 branding.
We are not sure about the launch details or pricing of the device at the time of writing. However, provided that all the teasers are on the official Weibo account; it is more than likely that the device will land in the Chinese market. It appears that OnePlus aligned the launch of the smartphone with the launch of the game. However, the latest delay in the game means that the smartphone will be out before the game. OnePlus India did not reveal any plans for the India launch when it comes to the limited-edition model.
