Apex Legends Revelry: Season 16 brings new Legend meta changes for Seer, Horizon, Bloodhound, Wraith, and more

Seer and Horizon are getting nerfed, for starters. Find out the nerfs and buffs coming for all 7 Apex Legends in Season 16.

Apex Legends Season 16 is all about shaking up the meta, as far as the developers are concerned. The revealed new class system is an attempt to bring new gameplay style, changes in Legends pick rate, win rate and more. Adding to that, there will also be balance changes coming in Season 16 for seven different Apex Legends.

Apex Legends meta changes

Here's a look at each of those changes. Lead Legends designer Devan McGuire revealed the upcoming Legends meta changes in the Apex Legends Season 16 press showcase which was attended by India Today Gaming. McGuire mentioned that the specific details about each of these changes will be available in the Apex Legends Season 16 patch notes. However, he gave a broad overview of all the changes that are coming for these seven Apex Legends.

Seer

Respawn developers will be reducing the cooldown as well as the duration of Seer's scanning abilities. Devan McGuire also added that enemy squads will also hear it when Seer uses his ability.

Bloodhound

Seer's not the only legend in Apex who relies on their scanning abilities. The changes coming for Bloodhound are far more impactful, from the sounds of it. Bloodhound's

McGuire also revealed that the scan frequency for both Bloodhound and Seer will also be decreased, meaning there will be longer cooldown period for Bloodhound as well.

More importantly, Bloodhound's ultimate ability is being reworked. It will no longer allow Bloodhound to use their scans quickly. Instead, there will now be 'white ravens' in the surrounding, and when Bloodhound interacts with one of them, it will fly and lead Bloodhound and their squad to the nearest enemy team.

Wraith

Wraith is getting a buff (yes, really) and her portal range is now doubled, allowing her to cover more distance through her portals. She will also speed up while creating this portal.

Pathfinder

Another Legend who is good at transversing through the maps is getting a buff for the same. Pathfinder's zipline range and riding speed have been "greatly increased", as per McGuire.

Mirage

Mirage, just like Bloodhound, is getting reworked a little. Now, when Mirage revives a teammate, he and the teammate both get cloaked for three seconds upon successful revival. However, McGuire clarified that if the players draw their weapons during the cloaking period, they will become visible to any enemies.

Also, McGuire said that they've tried to make Mirage's bamboozles more effective. Now when a decoy is shot by the enemy team, the enemy will be tracked by Mirage's bamboozle icon that reveals the enemy's location.

The enemy location being tracked for a longer period can potentially allow Mirage and his teammates enough time to launch their ambush on the opponents, as per McGuire.

Horizon

Horizon is getting a nerf in Season 16 as the developers noticed her current win-rate and slightly overpowered abilities. Hence, the accuracy during her gravity lift has been reduced. Although to compensate, Horizon's lift speed will be increased.

Lifeline

Lifeline is receiving some "quality of life" changes for Apex Legends Season 16. Her care package drop speed and range has been increased. Lifeline's slow penalty, which is implied when she activates her revive, will now be "greatly reduced".

As mentioned before, the developer did not reveal the specific numbers for balance changes. Those will be revealed in the patch notes when Apex Legends Revelry arrives on February 14, 2023.
