There have been plenty of heirlooms that have been out in the game for players to grab but there are several new legends that haven’t received an heirloom yet but that's going to change soon.

Apex Legends Season 16 was revealed on February 6 by Respawn Entertainment. Revelry, the upcoming season, will look to celebrate four years of Apex Legends. There has been plenty of announcements from the developers including Team Deathmatch, remastered class system, new weapon Nemesis, Arenas sunsetting and more.

Horizon, Fuse, Ash, Mad Maggie, Newcastle, Vantage and Catalyst are all the Apex Legends that haven’t received their respective heirlooms yet. Some of these Legends have been around for quite a while now, especially Horizon and Fuse. Horizon entered the Apex Games all the way back in 2020 but she’s yet to receive her heirloom. Fuse was released some months later in Season 8 which arrived in February 2021.

Interestingly, Valkyrie and Seer were added to the game after Horizon and Fuse but both of them have received heirlooms from Respawn Entertainment.

Heirlooms for newer legends confirmed

Apex Legends developers revealed upcoming features for the new season during a recent press event that India Today Gaming attended. We asked the developers when will heirlooms arrive for newer legends, and Respawn Entertainment exclusively told India Today Gaming that heirlooms for newer legends are in development.

When quizzed about the arrival of heirlooms for newer legends, Design director Evan Nikolich told India Today Gaming, “I'm not going to say, we definitely have much (sic) heirlooms in progress, yeah you'll see."

While Nikolich didn’t reveal a release date for any heirloom, Apex Legends fans can expect heirlooms for these Legends soon.

Debunking Wraith’s Kunai 2.0 heirloom rumour

There’s a popular rumour about Wraith’s new heirloom, which is essentially a recoloured version of her Kunai melee weapon. Leakers and the community have dubbed it Kunai 2.0 but there have been no official announcements from Respawn Entertainment about this rumoured heirloom.

When it comes to recoloured in-game items, the recent Peacekeeper skin which was rewarded to players in the last collection event of Season 15, didn’t sit well with fans. Apex Legends game director Steven Ferreira told Dexerto that the developers have “learned some lessons” after this situation.

“You won’t see that collection event reward again, I can pretty much guarantee that. The intent is always to do something players enjoy and see value in, definitely not trying to upset anyone,” said Ferreira.

He added, “We want people to feel good about the money they spend, to feel good to get something new, not cheap.” Ferreira also made an interesting point by saying that players should also give their feedback not just verbally but also “with your wallets – don’t spend money if you don’t want the item.”

Taking into account the statements by Ferreira, I don’t see this rumoured Kunai 2.0 coming to Apex Legends Season 16 and even if it does arrive, it’s likely not going to be a separate item that players who already have Wraith’s heirloom, would be asked to spend money for.
