Fortnite has just overhauled its battle pass system, making it easier than ever for players to earn rewards across different game modes. Starting December 1, all XP you earn in any mode – whether it’s Battle Royale, Fortnite Festival, or LEGO Fortnite – will count toward every battle pass you own. This massive shift means you no longer have to grind separately for each mode.
One Battle Pass, All Modes
Until now, Fortnite’s modes were like separate worlds, each with its own exclusive battle pass. But with this new unified system, progress will be shared across all modes. If you prefer building in LEGO Fortnite or vibing in Festival mode, you’ll still make progress on all your battle passes.
Starting November 2, the new Music Pass (formerly known as the Festival Pass) launches, followed by the Brick or Treat LEGO Pass. No need to stick to Battle Royale if it’s not your thing—enjoy whichever mode you like and still unlock rewards!

Separate Passes, Combined XP
While XP is now shared across modes, each pass is still sold separately. But Epic is also offering a “bundle” option to make buying all premium passes at once easier and potentially more affordable.
