Free Fire OB47 Official Release Date Revealed, When is It Coming

Garena has officially revealed the release date of Free Fire OB47 through an Instagram post. The update is set to bring major changes and a lot of fresh content. The Advanced Server of the OB47 update is already live, where registered players can test the new update. Here are all the details of the upcoming Free Fire update.

Garena, the developer of Free Fire has officially announced the release date of the OB47 update. According to the Free Free India official Instagram page, the update is set to be released on 04 December 2024.  The upcoming update will also bring new Winterland map that will be released on December 16, 2024.

Ra Vision – The Powerful New Character

The OB47 update brings a new character called Ra Vision. He has unique skills that make him very powerful in the game:

• Enemy Detection: Ra Vision can see enemies hiding behind walls by showing their outlines. This helps players find opponents who are hard to see.
• Enhanced Movement: When Ra Vision is shooting, his movement speed increases by 100%, making him faster in tough situations. These skills make Ra Vision feel like a "hacker" character since he can easily locate and target enemies behind obstacles. His abilities bring a new, exciting way to play and are expected to make him very popular.

2. Winterland Mode – A Snowy Bermuda Map

In the OB47 update, the Bermuda map will get a beautiful winter look with Winterland Mode. Here’s what’s new:

• Snowy Landscape: Players will see a snowy version of Bermuda, with iconic places like Peak covered in snow.
• Frozen Water: Small water areas on the map will be frozen, adding to the winter feel and changing the way players move through certain areas. Winterland Mode isn't only for show; it gives the game a warm, winter feel and revives memories of previous winter releases.

Garena has confirmed the Free Fire MAX x Pushpa collaboration.  Players may be able to cross over with iconic characters incorporating local culture into the game.

Revival Points Removal

 

The OB47 Update will eliminate revival points for players of Free Fire. Some players who find them essential argue that revival points make the game overly accommodating. Conversely, there is a Hardcore Mode that eliminates revival mechanics, bringing back a more traditional version of Battle Royale that increasingly resembles the older format as time progresses.

New Zone Shapes

Garena could potentially implement these daring shape modifications for zones apart from the standard circle. Other possible shapes might include a square, triangle, or even linear zones. This could significantly heighten the intensity of strategies that had become routine and require even greater skilful navigation. Community surveys have shown mixed reactions, with some players expressing curiosity while others remain sceptical, pondering how these changes will affect the game's pace.

Free Firex Naruto Collaboration

It brings a unique map showing popular locations in the Naruto series, like Hokage Rock. Though it is only available for a limited period, it can be really exciting for fans of Naruto or veterans of playing Free Fire.

New Urban Map

A city-inspired map might just make it onto the list. The details are not confirmed, but leaks speculate that this will again be a dynamic map, with towering skyscrapers, swimmable pools, and metropolitan layouts. This gives new gameplay twists from the usual Free Fire city maps.
