Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) has unveiled its latest Patch 1.9.40 on the Advanced Server, introducing long-requested features and significant hero adjustments. Players can now experience Lane Matchmaking in Ranked games, revamped gameplay for Hanzo, hero rebalances, and battlefield tweaks. Here's a breakdown of the latest update.
Lane Matchmaking: Enhanced Ranked Gameplay
Lane matchmaking is now open in Ranked mode for Grandmaster and higher players. Players can pre-select their five preferred lanes before matchmaking begins. There must be no conflicts in the lane choices before matchmaking can start. During the pick and ban phase, lane swapping among teammates can be allowed as long as both team members consent. However, during the match, players have to use their assigned lanes or else, they will be penalized.
Revamped Hanzo: Gameplay Optimizations
Hanzo’s rework focuses on balancing his damage output and enhancing his skill mechanics.
- Skill 1 Buff: Base damage increased to 540-840 + 120% of Extra Physical Attack.
- Hanekage Damage Nerf: Reduced extra damage from 25% to 20% of the target’s Max HP.
- Ultimate Enhancement: Skills cast in Hanekage form no longer consume energy, improving his late-game utility.
Hero Adjustments: Buffs and Nerfs
- Selena Buffs: Increased damage in Abyssal Form, improved sustainability with a shield effect moved to Skill 2.
- Alucard Adjustments: Enhanced stability with improved defensive stats and adjusted damage scaling.
- Yi Sun-shin Nerf: Ultimate damage output reduced to balance his overwhelming effectiveness.
Buffs were also given to Aulus, Dyrroth, Irithel, Karrie, and others, while heroes like Bruno and Cici faced nerfs.
