EA Play coming soon for Xbox Game Pass subscribers on PC, details
According to the official announcement post, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to access “more than 60” EA titles. Some of the popular titles in this lineup include Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and Need for Speed Heat. We also get Titanfall 2, FIFA 20, and games from franchises like Battlefield, The Sims, and more. Besides the new titles, EA Play also comes with monthly rewards for its players. These rewards include in-game elements like “Gold Team Fantasy MUT packs”, “EA Play Celebration Pack” in Madden 21, “N7 Weapon Charm” in Apex Legends, and more.
The company also outlined the availability of Star Wars: Squadrons, both on the PC as well as the consoles. This is likely because the game is landing on consoles as part of the new Xbox Game Pass March titles. Microsoft also stated that EA Play will also bring some “exclusive in-game challenges and rewards” limited to the members. Players will even get discounts on future EA purchases as part of the membership. The membership also offers access to trial versions of new games before purchases.
It is worth noting that players need to use the new EA Desktop app to get access to all the EA games. This new app is currently in the Beta testing phase. Microsoft also encouraged Xbox Game Pass users to share feedback for the app with EA to help with testing. As per the process, users just need to click on the EA title of their choice, ensure that they have installed the EA Desktop app, and play the game.
