Pune-based video game developer Nodding Heads Games has just shared some details about its latest title “Raji:An Ancient Epic”. In addition, the company also outlined some information around the next title that it is likely working on. Avichal Singh, the co-founder, and designer at Nodding Heads shared the details around Raji while addressing a panel at Indian Gaming Show and Conference (IGC) 2021. He stated that the game developer is set to reveal the complete roadmap for 2021 in the coming weeks. As noted in a report from IGN India, Avichal stated that the company is working on “a lot of things” regarding Raji. He stated, “Some of them include RTX technology in Raji. Some of them include localization...We will eventually release in Japan.” This confirmed that the company is still working on launching the game in additional markets. It is unclear if the company is also working on native DLSS support or some other Nvidia-related tech.
The report also outlined how Nodding Heads Games acknowledged the support from the Indian gaming community. Singh stated, “Moving forward beyond what’s next, we will be of course aiming for global success just like Raji. But this time around we will keep an eye out on the Indian market because when Raji launched all the Indian YouTubers gave a fantastic response.” He went on to add, “It was surprising we didn’t expect it and we’re going to keep an eye out and adapt to all the changes in the Indian ecosystem.”
Besides the updates about Raji: An Ancient Epic, Avichal also hinted at the next Nodding Heads Games title. As per the statement, he added, “We want to create games on Indian mythology, lore, and culture.” The statement goes on to state that such themes, “by default appealing to the Indian gaming market and how we can treat them a little more special is what we’re looking for.” All these details come months after the company launched Raji: An Ancient Epic on the global stage. The game also managed to bag the nomination for “Best Debut Game” at The Game Awards 2020.
