HP teams-up with AMD Ryzen to announce Omen eSports Gold Quest scholarship; All we know

HP India has partnered with AMD Ryzen to start the registrations for its Omen Gold Quest scholarship program in India. The company aims at helping interested and upcoming eSports players in India with the necessary financial help, equipment, and training. It hopes that all these things and the exposure will help prepare Indian gamers to compete on the international stage. This is the second iteration of the Omen Esports Gold Quest scholarship program that HP is organizing after the first in December 2020. HP Omen Gold Quest scholarship program for 2021 announced; details
Inspecting the announcement closely, HP noted that it identifies the need to support the gaming community in India. This includes the proper guidance, access to the right people, tools, training, and more to help the interested players grow. The registration of the program has already started, and it will go on till April 30, 2021. Aspiring eSports players between 18 to 23 years of age can submit their applications for the program. HP and AMD Ryzen will select a total of three gamers to “offer them an annual eSports scholarship”.
The benefits include “international eSports training” along with Omen Gaming peripherals including an AMD Ryzen-powered HP Omen gaming laptop. HP will also offer “annual financial aid” to players amounting to a total of Rs 12 lakh each. Besides the registration, HP and AMD Ryzen also kick-started a “nationwide talent hunt program” from March 31. HP will make the final selections for these interested players in June 2021.
HP also revealed that the scholarship will start on July 1, and will go on to conclude on June 30, 2022. To encourage the participation of gamers, the company also teased a chance to win HP Omen gaming gear as part of the application submission process. This also includes an AMD Ryzen-powered HP Omen gaming laptop, along with Omen-branded headsets, mouse, keyboards, and even a monitor.
