ESPL 2021 Level 2 Day 8: Head Hunters is the last Team to advance to Level 3

The team struggled in Map 1 and 2 with them finishing in 6th and 9th place respectively before making a comeback. Here is everything one needs to know about the results for the ESPL 2021 Level 2 Day 8.
The final day of the ESPL 2021 Level 2 group stage concluded today with the last of the Top 8 team making its way to the Level 3 stage. Team Head Hunters had a very intense fight today and only managed to claim the top spot with a lead of 2 points over the second placer - Shooting Stars.
ESPL 2021 is India’s first and biggest Pan-India Free Fire tournament announced by India Today Gaming, the gaming and esports division of India Today Group. The tournament features a massive prize pool of Rs 25,00,000 distributed among the top 8 teams in the grand finals scheduled to be held on 29th August 2021. With the Level 2 stage completed today, the Level 3 matches will start soon where the Top 8 teams will be competing for the massive prize pool of 25 lakh INR.
Level 2 Format
A total of 88 teams from Level 1 qualifiers advanced to the Level 2 stage. Here they were joined by 8 invited teams for a total of 96 teams competing in the Level 2 stage. The teams were further divided into 8 groups with each group consisting of one invited team and 11 teams from Level 1 qualifiers.
Each team will play 8 maps and every map finish will award certain points. A points table will be created consisting of points from each map and after the game is over, the team with the most points (in case of a tie, the team with the highest kills) will advance onto the Level 3 stage. A total of 8 Bo8 games will be played throughout the Level 2 stage and only the top team from each group will advance to the Level 3 stage.
ESPL 2021 Level 2 Day 8 Result
Head Hunters started off the day with lower-than-expected performance. The team struggled in Map 1 and Map 2 with them finishing in 6th and 9th place respectively. The team soon picked up its game and made a comeback on map 3 with a Booyah. After its first Booyah, the team was all fired up and finished the day with 3 more Booyah. Head Hunters scored a total of 219 points, including 123 rank points and 96 kill points. Shooting Stars took the second spot in the overall standings with 217 points, 3 points short of claiming the top spot on the Leaderboard. Shooting Stars had 141 rank points and 76 kill points. Coming on the 3rd place, Team Scripters scored 208 points with a massive 92 kill points.
