SuperGaming’s Grudge Wars Esports tournament kicks off with ₹10 lakh prize pool
Indus, the battle royale title developed by Indian studio, SuperGaming, has introduced a new feature called Grudge intended to redefine player rivalries while enhancing competitive gameplay.
This function enables them to put the record straight by retaliating against those who eliminated them after being made fun of by others (for instance, making a fuss, etc). It is almost like leveling the playing field for players. In essence, participants can resolve their individual grudges in the game.
How does Grudge Work
Hunter vs Defender: The introduction of two different roles in each match is what makes this system work; they are Hunter and Defender. Specifically, Hunter gets assistance throughout the game to find out who their enemy is, whereas Defender receives a warning whenever an opponent comes close.
- Hunter: Players who take on the Hunter role receive diverse advantages to locate their target beginning with Ejection Notification which alerts them whenever their enemy ejects from initial flight.
- Defender: There’s always a kind of warning that comes before Baby is making all of us feel uncomfortable by his presence.
Supergaming claims that the system doesn’t disrupt the experience of BR, as it integrates seamlessly into the gameplay. With minimal player input, Grudge guarantees that outsmarting opponents will become one of the main components in this game.
Grudge Wars: The Ultimate Esports Showdown:
As part of this new Grudge feature, SuperGaming is putting together the Grudge Wars Esports Tournament with a total prize pool worth ₹10 lakh. It is open to players at any level, featuring weekly qualifiers culminating in a grand finale on the 20th of September 2024. The last event will see 15 top teams from pro and challenger divisions engaging in fight matches for 7 series.
Besides being an avenue for professionals, this tournament serves as a platform for upcoming talent under the Challenger League. Both Pro and Challenger league participants shall get to exhibit their ability against all odds during Grudge Wars.
