Pokemon Go's latest event which is now live, celebrates the Chinese Lunar Year, with new Pokemons to collect, a special themed Timed Research and more. Here are all the details.
The Lunar New Year celebrating the Year of the Rabbit is upon us and the gaming industry busy with the festivities. With multiple sales across retail platforms from Steam, to publishers running their own sets of exclusive discounts on their games, it's all happening right now. On that note, The Pokemon Company has also announced event bonuses, timed research and more to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Here are all the details you need on Pokemon Go’s latest event.
Pokemon Go celebrates Lunar New Year
Pokemon Go is celebrating the Lunar New Year with new Pokemons to collect, and Lucky Wishes timed research. The event is now live through till January 23, 2023, 8PM IST.
Buneary and Bunnelby are red Pokemons, hopping around like rabbits that you can now catch. Ponyta, Magmar, Magikarp, Slugma, Numel, Combee, and Fennekin will be more frequently available in the wild for you to catch as well.
A new timed research has also been introduced, titled “Lucky Wishes”. Trainers will receive exclusive bonuses depending on the path they choose, that is whether they are hatching Eggs or collecting Pokemons, or Stardust. However on completion of the event, all Trainers will receive a Lucky Egg along with other bonuses, and the opportunities of coming across Pokemons like Magikarp, Azumarill, Combusken, Darumaka, Galarian Darumaka, and Bunnelby.
