Lenovo announces new gaming laptops at CES 2021 including Legion 7, Legion 5 and more

Lenovo has shared details about five different gaming laptops, two gaming headsets, and one “gaming station”. Here is everything we know about the Lenovo gaming laptops announced at CES 2021.
Like most computer hardware makers, Lenovo has also announced a number of new gaming laptops and peripherals at CES 2021. Lenovo has shared details about five different gaming laptops, two gaming headsets, and one “gaming station”. This list of gaming laptops includes Lenovo Legion 7, Slim 7, 5, 5 Pro, and IdeaPad Gaming 3. The details include the specifications for the laptop, pricing, and an expected launch timeline. However, we are not sure about the launch timeline for the Indian market or the pricing. Let’s check out everything we know around the Lenovo gaming laptops announced at CES 2021 here.
Lenovo Legion 7, Legion Slim 7 announced
The Lenovo Legion 7, and Slim 7, both will come with the latest AMD Ryzen 5000 series mobile CPUs. Slim 7 will offer up to Ryzen 7 while the Legion 7 will feature up to Ryzen 9. Lenovo will also add the latest Nvidia GeForce RTX 3000 series mobile GPUs along with up to 32GB RAM, and up to 2TB storage. The company also claims that both the laptops will offer up to 8 hours of battery backup. Legion 7 will come with a 16-inch QHD IPS panel with 165Hz refresh rate, Nvidia G-Sync support, and 500nits brightness.
Slim 7 will sport a 15.6-inch display with two options for the resolution and refresh rate. The first one includes an IPS UHD panel with a 60Hz refresh rate with 500nits brightness and VESA DisplayHDR 400. The second option comes with an FHD IPS display panel with 165Hz refresh rate, up to 3ms response time, and Display Vision. Both the laptops feature Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, 720p webcam, and two 2W speakers.
Both come with plenty of ports for connectivity and Legion 7 will pack a 300W power adapter while the Slim 7 will come with a 230W power adapter. Legion 7 starts at $1,669 and will go on sale starting from June 2021. The company has not shared the pricing details for the Slim 7 though it will go on sale starting from May 2021.
Legion 5, 5 Pro, and IdeaPad Gaming 3
Moving on, Lenovo also announced the Legion 5, Legion 5 Pro, and Legion IdeaPad Gaming 3 at CES 2021. The Legion 5, and 5 Pro will sport the latest AMD Ryzen 5000 series CPUs with up to Ryzen 7. In addition, we will also get the latest Nvidia GeForce RTX 3000 series mobile GPUs. Legion 5 will be available in two different display sizes including a 15-inch panel and a 17-inch panel. The 15-inch panel comes with three different display types, and the 17-inch option will come with two different display types.
Legion 5 15-inch will come with up to 32GB RAM and up to 2TB storage and a 60WHr battery with a 170W power adapter. The 17-inch panel will come with up to 16GB RAM, up to 1TB storage, and a 230W power adapter. Talking about the display options, one can choose between an FHD IPS panel with 165Hz refresh rate, FHD IPS panel with 120Hz refresh rate, and an FHD IPS panel with a 60Hz refresh rate. The 17.5-inch version of the laptop will come with an FHD IPS panel with 144Hz or an FHD IPS panel with a 60Hz refresh rate. Both the models will feature 720 webcams, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, and plenty of ports for connectivity.
Moving to Lenovo Legion 5 Pro, we will get up to 16GB RAM, up to 2TB storage, and a 230W power adapter. The laptop also features a 16-inch QHD IPS panel with a 165Hz refresh rate, Nvidia G-Sync support, and 500 nits brightness. Connectivity details are similar to what we get on the Legion 5 models. The Legion 5 starts at $769.99 and the 5 Pro will start at $999.99 and both the laptops will go on sale starting in March 2021. Lenovo also announced its Legion IdeaPad Gaming 3 gaming laptop with AMD Ryzen processors starting at $669.99. The laptop will be available starting from June 2021, but we don’t know the exact specifications.
Gaming headsets, station, and more, details
As mentioned above, we also got several gaming peripherals including Legion H600 Wireless and H200 gaming headsets. In addition, the company also announced Legion S600 Gaming Station that will go with the H600 Wireless gaming headset. The H200 gaming headset features dynamic Neodymium Magnets with a frequency range between 20Hz and 20kHz. It also includes a microphone with Flip-to-Mute functionality. H600 comes with similar features but it is a wireless headset.
Finally, the S600 Gaming Station is a headset stand that can be used with the H600 or any other wireless headset for that matter. The H600 is priced at $99.99, H200 is priced at $49.99 and the S600 is priced at $89.99 and all three items will go on sale starting from April 2021.
