Hitman World of Assassination is now available for purchase; Includes "The Freelancer mode", a brand-new roguelite experience

This news comes in from IOI Interactive- Hitman The World of Assassination is now out, along with the awaited Freelancer mode. The World of Assassination brings all the three critically acclaimed Hitman games in one bundle. You can check out the different editions and their price and availability below. Hitman 3 is now World of Assassination

As announced earlier on January 3rd, Hitman 3 is now known as the World of Assassination. The World of Assasination has been described by developers IOI Interactive as “an   ever-expanding game that would evolve over time and be the foundation for future HITMAN games.” 

The World of Assassination is essentially an expanded version of Hitman 3, which is arguably often dubbed as the best in the trilogy. The expansion here includes access to Hitman 1 and Hitman 2 through a Pass system. Now if you already own the expansion packs from your times playing Hitman 1 and 2, IOI Interactive is introducing a “complete the set” option on Steam. However, the functionality is available only in the World of Assassination Deluxe Pack, where you can choose and pay only for the DLCs you want to buy. 

IOI Interactive has also informed that they will be removing the standalone Hitman 1 and 2 for purchase from the different platforms. At the time of writing, in India, while Hitman 3 does not yet show up as World of Assassination in the PlayStation Store and Steam, the first and second installments continue to be available as standalone games. The Xbox Store on the other hand reflects the update. 

The Freelancer mode is now live

The Freelancer mode brings a roguelite experience to Hitman. You are given targets from around the world, and you are completely in charge of how you want to take them out. Right from the first step, which involves selecting your gear and weapons, to choosing which target to pursue and how, everything is in your hands. In the process, you also get to explore different locales from around the globe.

The Freelancer mode went live earlier today, and is now available in game as a part of The World of Assassination.
