Cyberpunk 2077 quest director confirms expansions will arrive soon following the latest patch. Check out further details and information about patch 1.5 down below.
Quest Director of Cyberpunk 2077 has stated that the studio is aware there’s more work to be done on the game. KamilCesaro, a Reddit user, posted a video clip in the r/cyberpunkgame subreddit that showed Pawel Sasko live streaming the game on Twitch, as noticed by TheGamer. He gave an important insight into the plans of CD Projekt Red who developed the game.
Pawel Sasko was asked by one of the fans during the stream if expansions would be coming to Cyberpunk 2077. Sasko assured fans that an expansion is coming to the game but did not disclose details about it. He also admitted that there’s work to be done on the open-world action RPG game.
Sasko said in the Twitch stream that “we’re working on stuff for you guys.” He said that players still in the game served as a motivation and incentive for the studio to continue and improve the gameplay and features of Cyberpunk 2077. The Quest Director also mentioned how he’s working every day and reviewing quests that need to be added to the game.
Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red said last year that they will not abandon the game. Studio head Adam Kicinski had said, "I don't see an option to shelve Cyberpunk 2077. We are convinced that we can bring the game to such a state that we can be proud of it and therefore successfully sell it for years to come." Gabriel Amatangelo had also replaced Adam Badowskim as the director of Cyberpunk back in May 2021 to work on expansions.
Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.5 recently launched
Cyberpunk 2077 had recently received a major update. Patch 1.5 fixed a lot of bugs and brought a lot of quality-of-life adjustments to the game. The patch gave players the ability to skip the long Braindance tutorial. The game was also made available for the next-gen consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S). Players would now be able to buy and customize apartments as well. Cyberpunk 2077 also added sensual photos that could be received by the player from one of their romantic NPC partners in the game.
The patch was a clear indication that Cyberpunk 2077 is not going to be shelved by the studio. The game created spectacular hype and had 8 million preorders. When the game launched, it was anything near what was promised and was filled with countless bugs and unimpressive graphics. The game received heavy backlash to the point that the studio offered refunds to those who had bought the game. CD Projekt Red also faced a ransom attack back in February which leaked the source code of the game.
Patch 1.5 was a massive improvement, and it remains to be seen what the future holds for Cyberpunk 2077 and if it will live up to the expectation that it generated in 2020.
