Climb the Ranks: Breakdown of Ranks in Black Ops 6
Ranked Play features eight ranks to climb, familiar to longtime CoD players:
1. Bronze
2. Silver
3. Gold
4. Platinum
5. Diamond
6. Crimson
7. Iridescent
8. Top 250
Each rank has multiple tiers, so you’ll need to grind hard to move up and prove your worth.
How to Unlock Ranked Play
Getting into Ranked Play isn’t as simple as just reaching a certain level. To unlock it, you’ll need to win 50 matches in regular multiplayer. Yep, you need wins, not just completed games. The good news? Any victories you’ve already stacked up will count toward this goal!
How Ranked Play Works
Ranked Play is all about intense 4v4 matches following Call of Duty League rules, letting you play like the pros. Whether you’re solo or rolling with a squad, your goal is to climb the ranks by earning Skill Rating (SR).
SR depends on a few factors, like how far you are from your projected rank, your individual performance, and the margin of victory. Wins are key, but performance matters too! And if you lose, don’t stress—your first loss of the day is forgiven, so you have a bit of warm-up time.
Season Resets and SR Setbacks
Every season, ranks reset, and your final position impacts where you start in the next season:
• Bronze & Silver players continue without any SR reduction.
• Gold & Platinum players start the new season in Tier I of their rank.
• Diamond & higher players begin at Diamond I.
New Ranked Play Features
Two new features are shaking things up:
1. Map and Mode Veto: At the start of each match, both teams can veto one map and mode combo from a set of three. If both teams pick the same veto, a coinflip decides the final map and mode.
2. Team Forfeit Option: If things aren’t going your way or a teammate drops out, teams can vote to end the match early. This vote must be unanimous and counts as a standard SR loss.

Ranked Play Rewards
Ranked Play wouldn’t be complete without some sweet exclusive rewards. By climbing the ranks, you can unlock:
• Gold Rank Reward: Unlocks two skins for the Competitor Operator (Home [Rogue Black Ops] and Away [Crimson One]).
• Top 250 Reward: Those who place in the Top 250 earn a unique “Top 250 Competitor” skin variant.
For the ultimate achievement, the player who finishes in the #1 spot each season gets a one-of-a-kind skin featuring a fiery skull and crown.
Plus, with every season, expect exclusive, limited-time rewards like Blueprints, calling cards, and more, only available while Ranked Play is active.
